Peptide Reconstitution Calculator
Calculate solution concentration for laboratory preparation. Choose a calculation, enter your values, and results update instantly.
Find the concentration of a solution from the peptide mass in the vial and the solvent volume added.
Find how much solvent to add to reach a target concentration.
Find the volume of solution to pipette for the amount of peptide your experiment requires.
—mg/mL
Values are rounded for display. Calculations assume the peptide mass stated on the vial and that the solvent volume equals the final solution volume. Verify against your laboratory SOP.
Reconstitution Guide (Laboratory)
General bench practice for preparing lyophilized research peptides. Always follow the product’s Certificate of Analysis (COA) or datasheet and your institution’s protocols.
Equilibrate the vial
Let the sealed vial reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation forming on the lyophilized material.
Prepare a clean workspace
Work in a clean area using sterile technique. Wipe the vial stopper and tools before handling.
Select the solvent
Choose the solvent specified on the product’s COA or datasheet, for example sterile water or bacteriostatic water, or as otherwise specified.
Add solvent slowly
Run the solvent slowly down the inside wall of the vial rather than directly onto the powder.
Swirl gently
Swirl or roll the vial gently until the contents dissolve. Do not shake, as this can cause foaming and degradation.
Confirm full dissolution
Check that the solution is clear and fully dissolved, with no visible particles or residue.
Label the vial
Record the concentration, preparation date, lot number and your initials on the vial.
Store & aliquot
Store according to the storage guide and divide into aliquots to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. Read the storage guide →
